A man and a woman had been married for more than 60 years.

Over 60 years had passed since the marriage of a man and a woman. Everything had been shared between them. Other than the fact that the elderly woman had a shoe box on the top of her closet, which she had warned her husband not to open or inquire about, they had no secrets from one another.
He had never given the box much thought over the years, but one day the elderly woman became very ill, and the doctor declared that she would not get better. The small elderly guy removed the shoe box and brought it to his wife’s bedside in an attempt to organize their affairs.
She concurred that he need to know what was inside the box at this point. Upon opening it, he discovered a $95,000 cash stack and two crocheted dolls. He questioned her about what was in it.

According to her, “my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue when we were to get married.” She advised me to be quiet and crochet a doll if I ever felt upset with you.
The elderly man had to suppress his tears since he was so moved. The box included only two priceless dolls. After all those years of living and loving him, she had only ever been upset with him twice. He nearly exploded with joy.
“That explains the doll, honey,” he replied, “but what about all this money? From where did it originate?
She said, “Oh, that?” “I sold the dolls for that amount of money.”
