Trapped With Her Babies — and One Person Who Chose to Stop

By the side of a quiet rural road, a mother duck lay trapped in a net. She could not move freely, and her wings were tangled. Her ducklings stayed close beside her, confused and afraid. Cars passed by, but no one stopped.

The mother duck lifted her head and called out, hoping someone would notice. Time passed, until one car slowed down and stopped near the road.

A man stepped out of the vehicle and carefully approached the duck. He moved slowly, not wanting to scare her or the ducklings. Seeing the net wrapped tightly around her body, he took out a pair of scissors.

The man gently cut through the net, piece by piece. After a few moments, the duck was finally free. She lifted herself up, no longer trapped, while her ducklings stayed close.

Once released, the mother duck began walking again. Calm and safe, she led her ducklings along the roadside, free to move on together. The danger was over, and the family continued their journey.
