Before You Judge, Look Up
A young man suddenly pushed an elderly woman who was sitting quietly on a park bench. She lost her balance and almost fell.

A nearby man rushed over, angry and shocked.
“What is wrong with you?” he shouted.
“Why would you push an old woman off a bench?”
People nearby stared, already judging the young man without knowing the truth.
Calmly, the young man pointed upward.
High above the bench, a large tree branch was cracking and slowly breaking loose. It was moments away from falling — directly onto the woman’s head.
“I wasn’t trying to hurt her,” the young man said.
“I was trying to save her.”
The crowd fell silent.
In seconds, the branch snapped and crashed onto the bench where the woman had been sitting just moments earlier.
That day, everyone learned an important lesson.
Before you judge someone’s actions, look up.
There may be something you don’t see.
