When asked if he believed Donald Trump would truly make America great again, Dick Van Dyke delivered a scathing ten-word response…

Earlier this month, President-Elect Trump, 78, won all seven battleground states and 312 Electoral College votes to secure victory in the 2024 presidential election. The billionaire will return to Washington, D.C., on January 20, 2025, to start his second term as President of the United States. He defeated Democratic opponent and incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris, 60.

The Republican Party’s leader has received backing from celebrities like Jeff Bezos, Mel Gibson, and Elon Musk, while singer Billie Eilish has referred to his triumph as a “war on women.” Another well-known individual, Dick Van Dyke, is unhappy about Trump’s possible comeback to the White House. Prior to the US election, the legendary entertainer, who turns 99 on December 13, declared that he would vote for Harris and encouraged his followers to follow suit. Hatred is not the norm, the Mary Poppins star said on his personal YouTube page. Prejudice is not common. Aspects of human nature such as suspicion, hostility, envy, and scapegoating are not transcendent. These are diseases. These are spiritual cancers. For long years, these virulent and contagious viruses have been breeding humans. Regarding Trump’s formal election as the 47th President of the United States, Van Dyke has already spoken his thoughts.

In a Daily Mail video, a photographer asked the actor if he thought Trump would “make America great again,” as his campaign slogan claimed. “Luckily, I won’t be around to experience the four years,” van Dyke added in front of his 53-year-old wife, Arlene Silver. The father of four then said, “I hope you’re right,” when the videographer asked if he believed the “future looked good” under a Trump government. Ahead of his 99th birthday earlier this year, the Hollywood veteran said he was still “looking for work.” Van Dyke entered the press room after accepting a prize for his 2023 birthday special, Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic, at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards event in September.

He responded, “For laughter,” when a reporter asked him how he wanted to be remembered in the ensuing decades at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. For seventy-five years, I want to make people laugh. For seventy-five years, I have been in business. It’s unbelievable that I’m still acting here. He looked around the room before saying, “I’m seeking employment if anyone has,” to a laugh, according to People Magazine.
