Before the rescue ever happened, the Golden Retriever did something that puzzled everyone.
Earlier that day, the dog wandered through a small open market near the edge of the forest. Among the sounds and smells, he stopped suddenly at a fish stall. A Cry from the Forest

The kitten was very young, barely a month old, with soft fur colored light brown, white, and hints of pale blue-gray. She was soaked, shaking, and too weak to climb the slippery stone walls. Every cry carried fear and exhaustion.
The dog gently dropped the fish beside the well and nudged it closer. The kitten crawled toward it and began to eat, gaining just enough strength to keep going. That simple act of sharing food gave her hope.

Exhausted but safe, the kitten climbed onto the dog’s head, wrapping her tiny paws around him. The Golden Retriever calmly walked forward, carrying her as gently as a mother would carry her baby.
